~Tomorrow Tomorrow Tomorrow~

Do you know someone who is always saying, "Tomorrow-Tomorrow-Tomorrow". Tomorrow comes and goes and another reason is given for not following through with the things that should have been done on the previous day.

Look at yourself in the mirror are you that person always saying," I will get to it later" and later never seems to come. We say, "I will do this I will do that", but we do not say, " what year we will get to it".

Individuals who procrastinate actively look for distractions, particularly ones that don't take a lot of commitment on their part.

There is more than one flavor of procrastination. People procrastinate for different reasons.

Three basic types of procrastinators are:

1} Arousal Types, or thrill-seekers, who wait to the last minute for the euphoric rush.

2} Avoiders, who may be avoiding fear of failure or even fear of success.

3} Decisional Procrastinators, who cannot make a decision. Not making a decision absolves procrastinators of responsibility for the outcome of events.

I am here to tell you that procrastination is an obstacle on your path to success.

Ask yourself, "Will I just sit back and continue to make excuses and watch success happen around me or will I be a part of success"?

There is a cure for the chronic procrastinator and I will give you the formula right now. Grab a pen and paper and write the formula down right now!

First of all you must create a plan of action. A Plan of Action = Goal Setting.

Start off with a short term goal of 6 months that you will break up into 26 weeks and then into 182 days.

Once you have written your goals on paper make sure to put dates next to each goal .

Identify what you think your obstacles could or might be in getting to your six month goal.

Now I need you to identify the people, groups and organization that you need to help you accomplish your Plan of Action.

You will also need to write down {once you accomplish your daily, weekly and 6 month goal} what is in it for you. How will accomplishing your goals benefit you.

It is very important for you to write your Plan of Action down , because it assists you in visualizing what you are trying to accomplish.

Stop! Do not move on to continue to read the rest of this blog. Take a moment to do what was just asked of you and then continue on reading.

Note: Are you now going to finish reading my blog after writing down your Plan of Action?

Will if you did not stop and write your Plan of Action down as instructed then you just procrastinated.

I have just given you the formula to success to take the first step. {Food for Thought} Individuals that are successful know that people that do not take that first step will most likely not take the second step.

The three-class model is "rich", the "middle class", and the "poor". Breaking News! No matter what class model your in we all have the same about of time 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

For those of you saying, "I just don't have the time right now or later or better yet tomorrow". Here is something for you to think about: your problem with procrastination is not lack of time, it is lack of direction.

Now you have the formula , so you should cure your Chronic Procrastination with your Plan of Action which gives you direction to achieve success.

Do not let procrastination be your lifestyle make your lifestyle success. Opportunity will present itself and if you procrastinate you will miss out.

~The Design of Our Destiny~

People always seem to talk about, "Well in my world".

My world simply means their Attitude.

Attitude = your world, which = your design, which = your destiny.

We are responsible for the design of our destiny.

Yes, we can challenge that, by saying our environment molded our attitude. It was our upbringing, perhaps we did not attend a magnet school. We can even say our attitude stems from are physiological make up.

Something that is very important that we acknowledge is that our attitude does end up determining if we will succeed in life or experience failure in the goals we tackle.

The truth is that attitude is 85 % of who we are the other 15% is Knowledge.

Our Attitude will set us in the mood to how we shall respond to the challenges that we face day in and day out.

The way we view everyday situations, circumstances, decision making and opportunities that present themselves.

Attitude is so powerful that it can dictate how we may feel about our past, present and how it will effect the goals we set out to accomplish.

Attitude can make us or break us and it truly does have a say," in the quality of our future".

Attitude is the mind-set or mental conditioning that determines the way we process and respond to the things we encounter, current events and even history. It's our way of thinking and seeing things.

It is also important to know that attitude is the bind that links our self worth, self-concept, self esteem and sense of value or significance.

In essence our attitude is the reality of who we think we are. In sum, we are our attitude and our attitude is who we are.

I will leave you with something to ponder:

~It is our attitude at the beginning of a difficult task which, more than anything else, will affect it's successful outcome.~

What = Motivation & Focus?

Well if you read my profile then you know I asked a question. Have you heard the saying, "You must know where you came from to know where your heading"?

Do you know where you are heading? What = Motivation & Focus? The answer is: Goals.

The challenge with goal setting is that it will involve deciding what you really want to do with your life? What to you desire? How will you accomplish what you what to achieve?

Setting clearly defined short term & long term goals will enable you to measure your progress & achieve personal satisfaction once you have successfully met your goals.

Goal Setting will involve sitting down and taking a moment to write down how you would like to see your life style change for the better and what your heart truly desires for you to have a successful life.

Once you see your dreams on paper it becomes more tangible. You now have visible goals that you will need to break down into smaller and manageable targets.

Once you have your list of goals waste no time in tackling them. A good way to have a manageable list of goals is to start your day with a daily list some might even call it a To Do List.

You should also have your weekly list. A weekly list is broken down and divided into the 7 days of the week. On Saturday night you plan your Sunday through Saturday and break up the goals over the next seven days.

Everyday will give you the opportunity to fulfill a certain goal giving you the feeling of accomplishment. Remember these are all short term goals that should set in place the stepping stones to your long term goals.

You are empowering yourself with a direction, a path on your journey to success through your goal setting.

To start achieving you lifetime goals, write down where you would like to be in a quarter of a century. It does not matter how old you are. You can be 18, 21, 31, 41 twenty five years will come and go in a blink of an eye. You need to ask yourself where will I be in the next 25 years?

Once you answer that question you can now break it down to 4 five year increment goals, then break it down again to 5 one year goals, then your 6 month goals, then your monthly goals, then your weekly goals and your at your daily To do list of goals.
